Make your voice heard

The Commedia Millennium Awards scheme has given 245 awards for grants for individuals and small groups to make a video, radio programme or web site of benefit to their community. A wonderfully diverse range of work has been funded with award winners from all over the UK - from Penzance to Dundee and from Norwich to Derry - on a wide spectrum of subjects. The Commedia Millennium Awards is an initiative of the Community Media Association with funding from the Millennium Commission.

The Showcase website is a streaming media archive of radio and TV programmes and internet sites from the community media sector. The new website showcases the views of people in local communities from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds - voices historically unheard. It includes programmes from Commedia Millennium Award Winners, as well as ethnic minorities, rural communities, young offenders, people with disabilities and many more.
