Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you request National Insurance Numbers?
The Millennium Commission who fund the scheme ask us
to supply the National Insurance Number for every applicant in order
to ensure that an individual has not already received an award from
another Millennium Commission scheme. We do not use this information
for any other purpose and all information supplied will be kept confidential.
How do I know that the information I supply you will
be treated confidentially?
Confidentiality will of course be an issue for many
applicants and we recognise the need for sensitivity and balance. Our
aim is to administer the awards scheme, as smoothly as possible and
to provide the Millennium Commission with the information they require,
as well as to ensure that we are reaching target audiences. No one other
than a small nucleus of staff and panel members working on the awards
scheme will have access to your details.
