Will I receive any formal qualifications from training?

The main focus of training will be to equip you with the skills to enable you to make your programme. Some training may have accredited qualifications attached to it but this is not the main aim of the awards scheme and in the majority of cases training will not be accredited.

I live in a remote, rural village. Can I expect travel expenses to enable me to make my programme?

Yes. Your award will cover travel expenses and you will not be out of pocket. We encourage the use of public transport wherever possible but if this is not possible or if you choose to use your own private transport we will reimburse at appropriate rates. We will issue your local community media association with relevant rates and these will be included in the budget with your application.
